apparent: Shelves and drawers of solid hardwood, dovetail joint
construction, solid steel structure. But what's less obvious is also
what truly distinguishes this system: its versatility.
A broad selection of components is available in a variety of sizes. All
components fasten securely to the standards and may be positioned
or adjusted at two inch intervals. The as4 can be reconfigured,
added to, and taken with you when you move. Beyond it's expected
application as shelving and storage, it's been used as home office,
audio/visual center, retail fixtures, commercial workstations, kitchens,
closet/dressing room fixtures, server racks and wet bar.
Another unique level of versatility is evident in the ease with which
this system can be customized. Custom sizes are available for any
component, as are materials and finishes outside of what is stocked.
Beyond that, custom components such as lighting, beds and seating
can be made to suit any application or need. |

Le ALi collection, Ardea D
The wall-hung unit in the Le Ali living room collection is striking. With its three metres and even longer length, it furnishes a room on its own with a fascinating cut-out effect on its surfaces, which act as handles for two side doors and four central drawers.

| Two, like the dominant colours: black and white, a fifth lively and ironic, defining the space by counterposition and combination; the candour of the library, rigorous and right-angled, sets off the dark tones of the dining room. The total effect is sophisticated, direct, unmediated and disdaining compromise. And the double theme is also taken up in the materials, where steel supports the gloss painted wooden table top. A play of geometric forms and roles like the suspended hinged containers and the shelf, a game colluding with the occupants, two, in a place to while away a whole afternoon, like a gift, strange and secret. Two. The result is a fusion but the components continue to retain their separate identity. A private space for life in real time. |
