Mobile shelves are made out of traditional shelf elements fixed on carts which move with a translation movement. Such principle helps have access to the overall volume of documents which are contained in all the shelves by using one only consulting lane.
This classifying mode allows :
• either to double Classification Capacity on same surface;
• or to save 50% surface for same capacity.
Carts can be moved with a handle (manual shelves) or with a steering wheel (mechanical shelves) or through an engine (electrical shelves).
The moving system will be selected according to the weight of the carts to be moved.
Configuration of shelves will depend on each premise and on the kind of file to be classified. |

Mobile shelving - High Density Office Storage
The concept of mobile shelving is increasingly popular for the less active and archival filing requirements. The Kardex range includes 3 different methods of operation, hand, gearwheel or electric. The shelving bays are placed on mobile carriages which are then moved along rails enabling users to create access aisles as and when required, as opposed to having a series of fixed shelving bays with permanent access aisles taking up large amounts of floor space.

It is as easy to operate as a printer, simply click on the requested file or media type and the DataStack will search, select and retrieve the requested media, highlighting selected items with a series of lights or through colour coded files.
