Kalzip SolarClad
Kalzip SolarClad is a non-integrated alternative that provides a retro-fit solution for installations on existing structures or new new-build developments.
The photovoltaic (PV) laminates consist of extremely robust amorphous silicon thin-film modules attached to aluminium carrier panels, to ensure high quality and fast installation. The panels can be installed on any Kalzip standing seam system without penetrating the roof and can also be conventionally mounted on other system elements, such as trapezoidal sheets.
The lightweight units are suitable for most roof shapes, giving architects and engineers maximum design freedom.

Sharp’s thin film product pairs amorphous silicon with a layer of microcrystalline silicon to achieve high stability and performance. Produced with less than one percent of the silicon used in crystalline solar cells, thin film products offer high performance with less semiconductor material. With a low temperature coefficient for output power, thin film generates greater energy than its crystalline silicon counterpart in geographic regions where temperatures are high. In warm climates, this translates into more kilowatthours per kilowatt. Certified to IEC 61646, these modules are not UL-listed and are exclusively for
behind-the-fence applications.

The module is second constructed to norms IEC 61215 with quality materials heads in order to assure performances electrical workers without problems in the time.
They are constructed with 72 monocrystalline solar cells from 125x125 milimeter of equal power, connected in able series and to load batteries from 24V.
Every string of 36 cells has a by-pass diode valve.
The treatment of the surface of the cells with antiglare SiN on the frontal part gives a uniform dark blue color.
The cells are laminated between a glass to low iron content (3,2 milimeter) moderated and one sheet of tedlar between two sheets of EVA in order preventing prenetrazioni of humidity in the module.
