A feature of GlaxoSmithKline's Stockely Park headquarters is an elegant spiral staircase that serves in the main atrium. Construction of the spiral included steel strings and CHS main column with folded tray type treads that supported carpeted timber inserts. The spiral has a bright polished outer and inner stainless steel handrail. Finishes included PPC balustrade and an on-site paint system to main structure.
Four external feature staircases provided a stunning visual impression for this office development near Heathrow Airport completed in the late 1990s. Hubbard also supplied internal staircases, bridges and balustrades and external canopies, balustrades and vehicle barrier rails.
