Hand woven rug, made by thick wool “about 15 mm in diameter”, it’s an exclusive article and a very contemporary which looks like pigtail.
100% fine New Zealand semi felt wool is used which makes it different from other carpets, all kind of colours and sizes are possible to produce.

The familiar tweed pattern is now a modern, tight rug surface. The diagonal line goes throughout the rug, changing its direction depending on the model, either in the middle or more repeatedly. The graphical but soft colours support the tweed pattern.
The surface with repeated lines reveals an earthy newly ploughed land with tints of the autumn frost and of the fluffy summery soil.

The tufted wool rugs made by Hanna Korvela Design are strong and of a very high quality. Similarly, their colour range and design language are simple and clear. The surface tension is born out of the colouring and the three-dimensionality achieved by careful cutting of the tuft.
