Gallic lightness and romantic atmosphere emanate from the upholstery and decorative design fabrics of the “Mademoiselle” Collection, so striking for their love of detail. The collection derives its special charm from the interplay between large- and small-scale pattern repeats, and fascinating, playful effects. The ingenuity and sophistication of the design are only revealed when seen close up.
The main protagonists are “Murielle”, a polychrome decorative fabric with an entrancing paradise garden motif – “Manon”, a decorative material with elegant sheen and large-scale damask design, and “Francine”, a decorative fabric with Jacobin pattern, usable on both sides.
The French flair culminates in a fine monocolour satin, a striped velour, a fascinating, undulating rhomboid design and a small-scale, playful rhomboid, also a monocolour block stripe, two room-high voiles and a metallically glossy faux leather.
Fresh colours, ranging from raspberry, hydrangea and green, cream, champagne, coffee brown to ultramarine, accentuate their timeless elegance, inspiring unbounding, creative imagination for interior design.
All fabrics are made of 100% Trevira CS. |

In addition the fabric has undergone a laser cut process, which cuts open the fabric along the seams except for a few connecting points. Pavone, which translates from Italian as "peacock", is a beautiful jacquard suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The motif features a rustic, "folk art" peacock that appears to be appliquéd onto the rustic fabric's quilt-like grid pattern. This antique effect is achieved through high-tech jacquard weaving - again showcasing Donghia's continued combination of the old with the new, the high tech with the hand made.

This superb weave collection includes exquisite embroideries, superb jacquard weaves and beautifully coloured interpretations of archival designs. Prints include 'Elinor's Chinese' drawn from a classic English chintz of the 1830's, and 'Kingswood', a strikingly beautiful printed damask.

The collection includes the rich and unusual 'Fishes', a new woven jacquard version of a 1930's block print by Frank Omrod and 'Lloyd', a striking wave patterned velvet taken directly from a design design dating from around 1815. 'Huxley Weaves' provides a truly comprehensive range of stylish stripes as well as the lovely 'Sedgewick' all beautiful designs taken from the G P & J Baker archive.
