Control unit for heating water using the homegrown energy plant and a water heater, buffer tank/storage cylinder and/or heat pump in self-consumption mode. hot water production, self-consumption, for solar PV plant, for electric heaters Product Description How it works The Power Reducer is a control device which, when combined with Elios4you, provides the facility of producing hot water by maximizing the use of surplus photovoltaic energy generated on site, without ever drawing power from the grid. It is suitable for hot water storage tanks / electric immersion heaters rated up to 3.0 kW. Connected to the Elios4you controller by a cable, the Power Reducer allows the system to divert and route surplus PV power automatically to the immersion heater, without drawing electricity from the grid, even when no more than a few hundred Watts may be available.
