TUNNEL, the new watertight light fitting
for tunnels
Airfal International is launching the TUNNEL model, a new fitting in its watertight lighting range.
The fitting is IP68 rated, offering total protection from dust and water penetration during prolonged immersion. It is also IK10 rated, the highest degree of impact protection that can be applied to light fittings.
The casing is made of 2mm flame-retardant polycarbonate (M1, UV protected) and it has end plates made of V0 material.
Specifically designed for use in tunnels, the fitting is made of self-extinguishing materials and is designed to absorb the vibrations generated by vehicles passing through the tunnels without affecting how it works. It provides safety in installations where the quality and resistance of the light fittings are essential in the event of any incident.
In order to minimise and facilitate maintenance tasks, its components are hard-wearing, lasting up to three times longer than a conventional light fitting, and have a special four-year warranty.
