A creamy coloured limestone exclusive to Salvatori, Crema d’Orcia’s bright hues convey a sensation of unexpected softness. The choice of Crema d’Orcia grants an elevated sense of warmth to both indoor and outdoor projects. Each piece of stone features a slightly different textural expression, so you will often see small holes, the occasional shell-shaped fossil and tiny lines of pink quartz. These are not defects, but instead, are part of the layers of history of each block of Crema d’Orcia. Crema d’Orcia was the stone of choice for renowned architect Kengo Kuma who used it for his first ever product line, Ishiburo, which he created for us in 2013. It was also selected for prestigious projects such as the Armani Hotel in Dubai and New York’s Olympic tower. It is available in honed, together with our, Lithoverde®, Dune, Ishiburo, Cuscini, CNC, Stone Parquet and Infinito textures.
Good to know
You will often see small holes, the occasional shell-shaped fossil and tiny lines of pink quartz.
These are not defects, but instead are part of the layers of history of each block of Crema d’Orcia.
We use a special selection which you will sometimes see referred to as Crema d’Orcia Select for some of our textures (Bamboo, Raw, Chevron and Romboo). This is because the consistency of the Select version lends itself more readily to the workmanship required to produce these textures.
However, in terms of colour, when combined with the honed Crema d’Orcia, the overall result is homogeneous.
