Description

AMICO Security Mesh is a steel mesh panel used as a penetration resistant barrier behind the drywall finish. Easily installed and allows for medium or maximum levels of security. One of the main advantages of Security Mesh is that its not visible until the wall is penetrated. Visually, the wall appears normal, but with the added safety and security hidden inside the wall. Security Mesh provides a barrier that is virtually impossible to penetrate. AMICO Security Mesh is a steel mesh panel used as a penetration-resistant barrier behind the drywall finish. It installs easily and allows for medium or maximum levels of security. AMICO Secura Clips installed using bugle-head TEK screws increase the fasteners holding strength by more than 68 percent. Our patented clip with its recessed center hole allows the fastener to seat at the surface of the mesh without creating visible humps and bumps in the drywall that would indicate the presence of a barrier. Security Mesh is attached directly to metal or wood framing using AMICO Secura Clips. Framing members can be the studs in walls, or joists in floors, and ceilings. Security Mesh is made by simultaneously slitting and stretching a solid sheet of steel making one continuous sheet that cannot unravel at the strands. The HSLA steel¹ used to create our Security Mesh is too difficult to simply cut with hand tools. Secura Mesh® is manufactured to meet ASTM F1267 to ensure integrity of the mesh and maintain the required security.
