The system - patented by Area Franceram Group - can transform an ordinary roof into a power station and deliver large quantities of clean energy: a roof of just 45 metres square generates something like 3 kW, at a total allinclusive cost that varies from 15 to 18 thousand euro. An expense recouped by a two-fold result: in addition to the energy source, the system also provides an extremely tough, durable roof.
The tiles are made from a sophisticated spray-dried red porcelain mix: these are genuine ceramic tiles. Ceramics are a man-made product, obtained by firing earth.
