Petrographically it is classified as a sublitharenite.
It is a beige sandstone with brown veining as a result of the iron oxide in its composition.
Its fine grain composition and mostly quartzitic composition make this a very hard stone that is optimum for low thicknesses.
It originates in India, where it is obtained in large blocks of enormous size and depth.
The reserves of this material are estimated at millions of cubic metres
