Summer moods and holiday feelings emanate from VERANO, the latest country house collection by Backhausen. The structures of the furniture and decorative fabrics are just as multifaceted and full of variety as the southern regions after which they have been named.
The large-scale chenille check of “Bretagne” takes the stage in all the pride of tradition, its effervescent charm radiating from the strikingly unusual zigzag weave.
The multi-colour striped pattern of “Umbria” symbolises the many hills and valleys of this Italian region in the subtle alternation between smooth and chenille effects.
The flat woven fabric of “Burgundy” conjures up the grace and charm of France; its medallion seems like embroidery, with an elemental beauty that beckons you into the famous wine-growing region.
The miniature, three-dimensional rhomboid design of “Montafon” recalls imposing alpine peaks, an invitation to go on walking tours and storm the summits.
Two other striped designs take you on a unique journey of discovery – the printed decorative fabric of “Andalusia” and the woven, folkloristic stripe of “Riviera” with elaborate detail patterning – also the sinuous convolutions of the scrolled floral volute of “Tessin”, and the playful, miniature-patterned floral rhombus of “Alsace”.
The unicoloured chenille fabric of “Normandie” is ideal for combination with all fabrics in the Verano collection.

VERANO is made of 100% Trevira CS, and is an ideal fabric for both home and office use. The fabrics are flame-retardant and boast extremely hard-wearing properties
