Contemporary sled base chair BALERI ITALIA JULIETTE by Hannes Wettstein
One day, out of the frenetic creative activity of Hannes Wettstein takes shape a sketch of a chair, whose backrest structure bends forward, defiying the known logic. The formal exercise is then translated into a functional element. During the industrial process the backrest becomes armrest as well, and the chair itself a small armchair. The use of sheet steel and steel rod makes it possible its production in a single facility, moreover it ensures the complete fireproofness of the chair, thus meeting the severe standards that rule the supply of furniture for public spaces. The rubber profile inserted in the curve of the backrest makes the grip soft and firm with a refined technological detail. This "ultralight" chair made out of nothing and many clever details is surprisingly comfortable. These characteristics make a real best-seller of Juliette, both for the residential and contract market, where it is requested for libraries, public exercises and conference halls.
