Lime is used for centuries in construction. The highest quality of lime is its high permeability to water vapor, which can greatly reduce humidity and condensation problems in old buildings so mainly renovations. Lime-based coatings are "living". They adapt to their environment and their tone changes depending on the humidity. Its decorative rendering is unique and no other binder has its ability to absorb moisture, making it possible to often have an equal indoor humidity. it gets patina and ages extremely well. Natural hydraulic lime made its first setting in a few hours, in contact with water, hence the name. What follows is a second setting by carbonation with the CO2 from the air. Hydraulic lime is a real building lime. BEAL offers both binder of natural hydraulic lime NHL 2, 3,5 and 5 (the number indicates the degree of runoff) for the realization of your own mortars, as "ready to use" solutions adapted to different types of application: leveling, drainage, insulation, finishing...
