The TwinCAT library contains function blocks relating to sensor/actuator level objects such as temperature sensors, analog valves, 3-point valves, single-stage fans, etc. It also contains function blocks relating to complex control tasks such as time schedulers, start-up programs, sequence controllers, operating hours counters, summer night cooling, set point generators, etc.
A wide range of parameters is available for fine-tuning the function block to individual tasks: A pump block, for example, can quickly be adjusted for the requirements of a cooler, heater, heating circuit, circulation or charge pump via just a few parameters.
