Südbad Trier / Trier, Germany
The “Südbad” was planned and built between 1955 and 1958.
With its 30.000 m² large area, it is an important recreational area for Trier town.
The basis of the renovation concept was to get a private investor to renovate the exiting outdoor pool Süd and let him service, manage and operate the facility for 25 years.
The town council of Trier was to get back a perfectly functioning outdoor pool on expiry of the contract.
After a complete general renovation, the Trier Freibad Süd was re-opened in May 2010 and
offers variety and relaxation.
The spacious water surfaces of the stainless steel pool blend perfectly in the landscape and offer
Though numerous attractions possibilities for playing, fun, sport and relaxation.
