Betafence Weldmesh Flat panels are manufactured with built in rigidity, by welding wires flat on edge or edge on edge. These variations in wire orientation result in different panel strength characteristics providing flexibility of application depending upon strength to weight ratio required. Independent tests prove less material is needed to achieve the same strength and also greater strength for given materials size/weight. Weldmesh Flat also gives enhanced visibility giving greater see-through for given strength panel.

Design
Flat on Edge profile provides flexibility in one plane and rigidity in the other. With its high strength to weight characteristics industrial users have developed applications for use such as stillages, roll containers, shelving and machine guards. Edge on Edge provides all round rigidity for use in security cages, grills and fencing. Wires provide strength in both planes meaning less material is needed to cover a given area for the same strength.
