Ensure that there is no water seapage into the trench, pump out if required. Foundation: Pour a 100mm thick layer of concrete across the full width of the trench Place a layer of 100 x 200 mm grid; mesh reinforcement to a width of 400mm. Cover with 50mm of low slump concrete and position the fist layer of blocks before the concrete sets, tap lightly into place checking line and plumb. Haunch front and rear of the block with a 100mm layer of concrete. Laying : Continue then to assembling following rows by crossing the elements. Backfill with good quality low fines material that should be free of clay. Compact carefully in layers from 100 to 200mm. At the heel of structure, provide a perforated collector drain discharging either to a soakaway or by connection to the surface water drainage system. Concave or convex curves can be easily carried out, without cutting.
