ONTIME® BZ-T220 is a popular networked biometric time and attendance system with on-line and off-line operational modes. Based on fingerprint technology, it is a complete solution for small- to medium-sized companies up to 2,500 employees (or two prints per record for 1,250 employees).
Light emission technology
The T220 uses a biometric scanner with a LE (light emission) sensor, which outperforms any other fingerprint verification technology to date. The LE sensor is designed to prevent false rejects and withstand hacker-attacks. It is highly secure, durable and only recognises live human fingers.
The terminal includes a 10-digit keypad, where users can enter an optional PIN code for immediate recognition of the person, eliminating the risk of false positives. Codes can also be set for activities like client meetings and tea breaks. Up to four special exit codes can be entered, which may or may not count towards the hours worked, depending on the reason for clocking out.
The terminal features an LCD, showing users logging in or out along with the time and date, and emits an audible tone informing users if they have logged in or out correctly.
Client/server
Staff On Time T220 is a client/server system, connecting to the Staff ID Server application. It can operate in off-line mode, identifying staff and storing movements that can be uploaded to the server automatically once the connection is re-established. In order to register employees' fingerprint information, a desktop Bio-I scanner/verifier is required.
