For the competition for two multi-family residences in the village centre of Tägerwilen, architect Cristiano Pedron, of LPB Architects AG in Kreuzlingen, submitted a solution that was clearly distinct from his competitors. The end result speaks for itself: harmonious, modern, distinct and expressive, the entire design fits well into the typical Thurgau village landscape. Where the Sieber family used to operate a nursery and a huge number of plants changed hands, there are now two multi-family residences with a design that is out of the ordinary. The perforated Formboard elements are the perfect complement to the earthen-coloured Formboard facade, ensuring an intriguing tension between the outside and inside, and at the same time giving a clever hint as to the original character of the site. The perforated Formboard elements were continued inside the stairwell by the installers, Wohlgensinger AG of Mosnang.
