Hemp has long been used for its sturdy, durable fibers. It has excellent environmental properties – rapid crop rotation, great yields requiring neither fertilizers nor toxic pesticides. It enjoys great dimensional stability as well as being very resistant. The two latter characteristics make it the ideal fabric for sofas. After being dyed, the fabric is « tumble-dried» in a great drum - this softens the fibres and provides a fantastic handle. This hemp canvas hangs in heavy, rounded folds for dramatic curtains. Hemp dyes well, so the colours in this range are deep and subtle. Price per meter, 155 cm wide. 100% hemp. Dry cleaning. Made in France.
