This design was taken from an early 18th century, English crewelwork panel with meandering blossoming branches and a variety of large scale Chinoiserie flowers including peonies, lilies, magnolias and chrysanthemums, with a butterfly in flight.
Faithfully recreated by hand with great attention to detail.
