san francisco, ca -- This community center is the first truly off-the-grid building in San Francisco. The project was completed in 2009, and now serves the Bayview community. It is a LEED Platinum project, and was built using an eco-machine waste water filtration system, a living roof, and a passive heating and ventilation system.
