Cole Lighting continues a long history of producing custom outdoor postlights to meet unique design requirements. A recent project of special interest is the “Angel fixture” being used along the San Pedro waterfront in Los Angeles Harbor. These fixtures are scaled-down reproductions of the same design made by Cole fifty years ago for the Matson Navigation passenger terminal in the harbor. The new stainless steel units utilize compact fluorescent for the upper portion, illuminating the housing and the etched acrylic wings, and T6 metal halide for the area lighting element.
