After attentive research, Cotto d'Este has chosen four unique types of wood, with a great personality. Four types of wood with a vivacious chromatic concept and an intensely natural appeal to fulfil the needs of the most contemporary trends. The richness and variety of veins, the tactile nature of the material that characterise Silvis are offered in two finishes: Classic, with a more refined appeal, and Country, which is more rustic.
The surface of the Country finish brings to mind artisanal planing. The differences in terms of roughness and the uneven texture of the wood grain, which are typical of an ageing process, along with noticeable tone differences, enhance the rustic and natural appearance.
The Classic finish recalls wood treated with linseed oil, of which it maintains the minor differences of reflection due to small variations in depth. The effect is that of a perfectly flat surface, which is elegant and refined.
Entirely manufactured in Italy using the latest technology, Silvis is full-body porcelain stoneware, decorated by means of the ink jet technique to obtain a high definition print that is based on 40 accurately selected patterns. Thanks to its 14 mm thickness, resistance is guaranteed and unparalleled and on average 80% higher than that of competitor products; the surface is scratchproof, easy to clean. It is weatherproof and acid-resistant.
