The standard chipboard is UF glued and conform to the European standard EN 312-4. These boards are not suitable for applications in moist conditions. The average density of the chipboard is about 650 kg/m³.
Chipboard is also available with a moisture resistant MUF glue (EN 321) according to the European standard EN 312-5 (suitable for humid circumstances). Fire retardant chipbord is also possible.
Decospan also offers special sheet materials with a formaldehyde emission comparable to natural wood. Furthermore Decospan has the COC (Chain of Custody) certificate, that allows us to veneer FSC chipboard (SGS-COC-0481). We also have PEFC chipboard available.
All chipboards used by Decospan conform to the E1 standard (low formaldehyde emission) (EN 312-1, class 1).
