The idea of creating a plank table with an open, sloping steel frame was embodied in the LOWLIGHT TABLE from 2014, and in 2017 the HIGHLIGHT TABLE was developed, as a natural extension of the LOWLIGHT design. HIGHLIGHT TABLE is a raw and elegant dining table with a distinctive open and slightly sloping steel frame, which makes a perfect plain contrast to the organic edges of the solid wood tabletop. To emphasize the raw aspect, the table only comes in either wild oak or wild walnut containing natural elements from the tree such as knots, small cracks, etc. The expression highlight is defined as "the best or most exciting or interesting part of something".
