The design is painted on a paper underneath the string, and the weaver work following the drawing.This traditional process ensures durability and exceptional beauty to the mat. HAND TUFTED Craft process using a needle to put wool or silk colors on a canvas, along the outline of a drawing. To highlight a rug, the wool is hand "sculpted" with scissors. This technique allows great freedom on designs and gives to the rug all its nobility by gestures of the weaver and carver.
