Endless plays of light and incredible shining reflections with this hanging lamp. The “bell” is made up of hundreds of sheets of aluminum, laser-cut into irregular shapes and affixed by hand. Strong light that falls, concentrated, from above, but also gentle light that escapes from the cracks between a metal sheet and the next. Craftmanship is an essential working method to provide Edra’s quality, the oldest and newest one, and it is through craftsmanship that knowledge is handed down: work is done according to a high-tech project, while thinking back to the good manual skills that have always existed here in Tuscany. The hands are the only way to provide the most excellent quality. The hands can sense, adapt, build, convey and achieve goals that machines simply cannot. The ones that belong to our land, Tuscany, the heart of Italy, the one that gave the world the masterpieces of Renaissance “Le Café Campana” at Musée de la Gare d’Orsay, Paris: “Brasilia” mirrored panels are the background of the Café and different heights of “Campana” lamps in gold come down from the ceiling; the interlacement of “Corallo” chairs turn into screen and all together with a new chair, “Orsay” also by Campana Brothers, complete the furniture of the Café. One hundred and eighty irregular shapes of shiny silver or gold anodized aluminium sheet, laser-cut and manually affixed. Lighting with three light bulbs E27/E26 attack in the large bell, only one in the small bell. Each piece is assembled by hand.
