Quartz colors is a coloured quartz-resin agglomerate with an irregular spattering of glass
fragments.
The surface offers a waved effect, the fragments of glass emerging from the lower level of
the resin, and this feature renders Quartz Colors fascinating from an aesthetic point of view
and considerably enhances its practical use as flooring as the resin is protected against
surface scratches.
The surface is treated with a waterproof wax coating that protects the material against stains
and allows easy maintenance.
The level of liquid absorption is zero. If the surface comes into contact with strongly-coloured
or acid substances such as coffee, cola, oil, lemon, etc., cleaning with a damp cloth is
recommended.
Quartz Colors tiles are laid on a self-levelling compact substrate using specific adhesives
such as MAPEI GRANIRAPID, MAPEI KERALASTIC, KERAKOLL H40 MARMOREX, KERAKOLL
H40 SUPERFLEX or similar.
Used as either flooring or wall covering, spacing of at least 1-1.5mm is required for the
40x40 cm formats and 2 mm for larger formats. The spaces are filled with standard tile
grouting (MAPEI ULTRACOLOR, KERAKOLL FUGABELLA) in the colour closest to that of the
resin.
Diamond slitting wheels are needed for dry or wet tile cutting. For border shaping, standard
diamond tools for marble are used for wet cutting.
