A "Rope Protected" wall is generally defined as any climbing wall over 5 metres in height which requires a rope safety system to climb.
Traditionally, top roping and lead climbing configurations utilise climbing walls which are secured against an existing building structure. There is no limit to the shape or size of a these wall configurations. They can wrap completely around the walls of a room, turn right angles, tie in to bouldering walls, even traverse ceilings. Traditional walls offer the most flexibility for designing amazing structures.
