Standalone magnetic card reader for access control
ERO INDUSTRIE
Thus the GENIUS system can handle and manage the most diverse data.
In the "AUTONOMOUS" version, the reader checks the validity of the access card or badge,
grants access, and stores this event into its internal memory.
All such events can be printed out at any time via an RS-232 link.
The Genius stand-alone access control system is built around a "master" terminal, which is either a small central control unit, or a badge reader with keypad and display.
The keypad and display located on the front panel of the badge reader or a modem
(windows interface) are used to program the access cards and set up the system.
6 other "slave" readers can be connected to the master terminal, using a bus cable.
The system accepts up to 1000 individual badges which can be assigned by reader.
There are 40 programmable time slots, and it is possible to define a time and date of expiry per badge.
The anti-passback function can be implemented when the system includes at least 2 readers.
The master terminal stores the last 1000 events, which can be printed out in chronological order.
In the event of a power failure, the setup and history are saved.
