The vacuum collection station is the final stage of the vacuum sewage system and it has the dual function of collecting the sewage coming from the valve chambers (to be sent on to the waste water treatment plant or other chosen point of delivery) and creating and restoring the required vacuum throughout the network.
The vacuum collection station can be configured in different ways. The collection tank can itself be under vacuum or it can also be open to the atmosphere and include pumps to transport the collected sewage unless a solution using the forces of gravity can be engineered.
