Natural slate roofing
FRENCH TYPE ROOFING
French style roofing is done by laying 40x40 cm. slate slabs, with all four corners trimmed. The characteristics of this type of roofing are essentially two: one is technical, due to the particularly light weight (55 kg/sq.m.); the other Is aesthetic because of the singular shape the slab takes on after the corners have been cut.The light weight mentioned above allows this type of roofing to be used on particularly thin structures but having a pitch greater than 40It is called "French" because it is widely used
in France, and its use is widespread in Italy too.
