The main component of the Firestone EPDM Roofing System is RubberGard EPDM. This 100 % cured single-ply roofing membrane is made of synthetic rubber ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer mixed with carbon black, clay, oils, curing agents and processing aids. It is calendered into large sheets and vulcanized. Due to its composition and characteristics, Firestone RubberGard EPDM is the ideal, highly durable waterproofing solution for low-slope commercial and industrial roofs. Its success can therefore be attributed to a unique combination of features and benefits, which have been demonstrated in more than 1.000.000.000 m² of installed membrane on roofs worldwide.

Firestone RubberGard EPDM is available in large seamless sheets up to 15.25 m wide and 61 m long (930 m²), resulting in fewer field seams for large surfaces and short installation times. Additionally, Firestone's QuickSeam Tape technology provides a proven field seaming solution without requiring special tools.
* High flexibility and elongation
Firestone RubberGard EPDM remains highly flexible even at temperatures down to -45°C, enabling year round installation. The membrane can also elongate over 300% to accommodate building movements and temperature fluctuations.
