The designer Wolf Udo Wagner created the Kyoto chair based on Origami - the Japanese art of folding paper. Inspired by natural shapes and leaves, he transmitted the impressions to clear shapes like the ones being generated when folding paper.
Point of origin was a plant's leave, folded in a way that from this a master piece for a comfortable and aesthetic seat and back shell could be made.
