A free-standing island, 360 cm (142 inch) long and 120 cm (47 inch) deep, is completely covered in Bronze Amani polished stone, which is also used to fabricate the sink. The fronts of the kitchen’s tall cabinet creates an interesting contrast between the stone countertop and the surface in heat-treated oak. The 175 cm (69 inch) ‘Falmec Lumen Isola’ extractor hood is a strong decorative piece as well as being functional. Thanks to its meticulous design and the right balance between occupied and empty spaces, this kitchen does not get in the way of the view of the garden – an important architectural feature of the room.
