The furniture series has been based on the principle of the ‘throne chair’ by architect H.P. Berlage. The Berlage series is contemporary and combines industrial manufacturing methods for the construction of the frame with old craftsmanship for the covering of the seat.The hand-strung webbing of the seat is what gives the series its characteristic touch, but it also makes every chair and stool unique.
