The swimming pool design brief included a pool long enough for swimming training, and also to accommodate a large growing family, plus the addition of a swimming pool building to include changing rooms, small kitchen and the pool plant room. Surrounded by a long established golf course, the swimming pool design was tailored to mirror the curve of the fairway behind the pool site. The pool was completed at 13m in length using bottle green mosaic tiles to give a more natural colour to the swimming pool water. The swimming pool also featured a long curved feature wall, which dropped to form an infinity edge towards the shallow end. The pool cover, housed under the decking at one end of the pool, protects the swimming pool in the autumn and winter months from leaves and debris from the surrounding plants and trees falling in the pool.
