STRIA by Barbara Zieve
Stria was inspired by the concept of layered planes that redefine perceptual boundaries of personal space. A sense of greater space is derived from the interlocking of shapes and surfaces, producing an unexpected dimensionality.
The welcoming gesture of an extended desk worksurface for the quest, the projection of overhead cabinets from the workwall to emphasize active storage, the definition of the worksurface work boundary by use of a different finish, or the tray-like display under the worksurface - all are design features that create a deeper level of personal meeting that are created through elements of form, finishes and materials.
With the large collection of available components and finishes, one can develop an image that ranges from conservative to fashion- forward.
Stria includes Bookcases. Also refer to Conference Tables, Conference Casegoods, Occasional Tables and the Obi Collection of Guest Seating designed by Barbara Zieve.
