The Zulu Mama Stools found inspiration in Haldane Martin’s iconic chair, the Zulu Mama Café Chair. An integration of South Africa’s first and third-world reality, the Zulu Mama range effortlessly combines the craft of indigenous basket weaving with modern materials. Hand-crafted in nearby local communities, the weaving work contributes to the economic empowerment of township crafters. The frames are made from rustproof, 60% recycled stainless steel and can be finished in a variety of powder-coated colours or polished stainless steel, making them ideal for indoor or outdoor seating. The UV-stable polyethylene plastic weaving material is also available in various colours. The black coloured plastic is made from recycled factory waste.
