In 2011 the design duo Salto & Sigsgaard won a design competition under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Culture, to design the furniture for one of the permanent chambers at the United Nations headquarters in New York, The Trusteeship Council Chamber also called the Finn Juhl Chamber. In connection with this Onecollection has developed produced and delivered a completely new unique and beautiful chair named Council Chair designed by Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard. The chairs pass on the baton from Finn Juhls iconic design heritage in a sculptural and pleasant direction, which merges shape, colour and natural materials. The chairs are a construction of moulded 3D veneer in oak or walnut, upholstered with leather or fabric. The swivel base is cast in aluminium. Council Chair is a new Danish design masterpiece on the international design stage.
