IDSystems range of aluminium Heritage doors offer the perfect solution for replacing traditional steel Crittall® style doors with a highly engineered, thermally broken aluminium alternative - whilst keeping similar slim frames and sleek profile.
The system is ideal for historic properties or for adding character for new-build and contemporary homes. The neo-industrial appearance is one of the latest trends in the glazing industry, with the original style dating back to the 1880s before becoming hugely popular during the art deco era of the late 1920s and early 1930s.
Primarily utilised in a configuration as French doors with a pair of sidelights the Heritage system includes slender frames and midrails and can be manufactured as an internal room divider or as an external system to connect a house and garden.
Whilst the appearance of the doors may owe a lot to tradition, the manufacturing quality and thermal performance are very much to the highest modern standards. Achieving a U-value of just 1.5W/m²K when double glazed the doors achieve a severe weather rating to 600Pa of air permeability and 600Pa of water pressure when combined with a weathered track for external use
