The clay used for the production of Le Terre Asolane tiles comes exclusively from a 40 million-year-old quarry, the only one of its kind, located in the Possano hills.
It is a precious material, due to the limited extentions of a quarry formed by marine sedimentation at an average depth of 70 meters, and has unique qualities of refractability and impermeability.
But that's not all, because this clay is also rich in calcium carbonate which gives the paste a high level of mechanical resistance, while providing that lightness in color which is so highly appreciated for the interior design for any room in the home.
