The sheer volume of electronic appliances used in modern offices and workspaces poses a problem for designers: what to do with all the cabling?
The answer is Intercell® from InterfaceFLOR. Each Intercell® module is a 50cm square plate with 16 short pedestals between which cables can be neatly bundled and tied. Once the cabling has been installed, sturdy square steel panels are fitted over the top to create a tidy empty floorspace, on which InterfaceFLOR carpet tiles can then be laid.
Conventional InterfaceFLOR carpet tiles can be fixed to Intercell® with low-tack adhesive or, for even greater convenience, customers can order special tiles with a magnetic backing which can simply be laid directly into the steel surface.
With Intercell® installed, space is immediately optimised since no surface area needs to be reserved for cable runs.
When the time comes for re-organising the workspace, all the cables can be easily accessed simply by lifting the carpet tiles. The cables can then be re-routed to suit the new layout.
