IGUZU NEON SYSTEM by Iris Kadouri

The UNESCO designated Iguasu Falls, on the Argentina-Brazil border are in constant motion and produce a huge amount of energy. Yet, the water cascades are not wholly authentic but rather protected and controlled by Argentine and Brazilian national park authorities on either side. And it is this marvel that gave Iris the impetus to create her Iguasu Neon System.
Iris took a round neon light and added a roller to cut through its diameter. Because neon is cold light, one can freely touch the bulb -- something usually untouchable. The roller gives the owner the power to reposition the light higher or lower. Like the South American governments oversee the Falls, one is presented here with a feeling of being able to direct the ordinarily uncontainable light. A simple design; a powerful connotation.
