3.8kW (13,000Btu) Twin hose portable air conditioner

This is the most powerful portable monobloc unit available and is suitable for cooling areas up to 38m2. It incorporates a twin-pipe system, with one pipe drawing external air into the condensor and the other extracting the hot air out.

This is unlike a regular air conditioner that draws air into the condensor from the room itself. Some of this room air is then vented out of the extract hose. In doing this other warm air is drawn into the room to replace the vented air. This increases the amount of air exchanges within the room making it more difficult to lower the temperature.

By having a twin pipe system that draws air into the condensor from outside, the cold room air is left in the room. This decreases the amount of air exchanges the room experiences and makes cooling much more rapid. In fact it's up to three times as quick as a regular single pipe system.
