Cables, cables and yet more cables. Whether we like it or not, they are part of our everyday life. However, perhaps we can hide these dull cables as well as possible by adding even more cables? That was what WIS Design had in mind when they created the Hide,(2013), table for Karl Andersson & Söner. Hide is a pedestal table, on which the column is made of metal wires with a polished chrome finish and elastic textile rope. Via a small cut-out at the bottom of the column, an electric cable can be drawn to sockets in walls or floors. This makes Hide a desk, a conference table or a meeting table that is both beautiful and functional, giving you easy access to electrical power without visible cables. The tabletop is available in a variety of sizes and in round, square or rectangular shapes. You can also design a table with the shape and length of your choice. The standard version of Hide features black, white, light-grey or red elastic ropes on a column with a polished chrome finish. The tabletop comes in oak, birch or ash veneers, white laminate and ash in a choice of standard stains. A cable management system is available as an optional accessory.
