In the second year of her course at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Moni Beuchel was given the task of designing a piece of furniture for a selected furniture manufacturer. After careful consideration she designed a sofa to suit Karl Andersson & Söner. By chance, we got to see the model and contacted a pleasantly surprised Moni. After some adaptation, the result was Kamón (2001) sofa, easy chair and bench in different lengths.
Kamón Lounge is available in length 650, 1300, 1950, 2600 mm and offering a slightly lower sitting position making them suitable for use with coffee tables. The seat and back cushions are covered in fabric or leather with visible wood details. The filling is made of cold foam. The legs are made from solid oak, birch or ash, standard colors or stains on ash. As there is a space between the seats, it is easy to keep them free of crumbs, as they fall onto the floor instead. If the seat cushion should be damaged in any way, it can simply be removed and sent to be re-covered. Kamón Lounge is perfect for staff areas, waiting rooms, lunch rooms, hotel and staff dining rooms, corridors, exhibition halls, lobbies, entrances etc.
